Portrait pictures has always been
my favourite style of pictures. I love taking pictures of people and their
faces. I believe that when you shoot pictures you can save that to be a memory
for your lifetime. Today I photographed my roommate, it was just a simple outside
photoshoot. It took a whole day of planning the place, clothes, makeup and hair
production, the result was awesome, but after shooting those pictures I love
editing because I believe you can enhance the picture and you can bring out
what is on your mind to the actual picture. As photography is art, when editing the photos,
we can show what is on our mind.
In this photoshoot I have created
filters to enhance the scenario of this photoshoot, I wanted to show the heat
of the summer, warming up these pictures, I mostly played with the temperature(increasing),
decreasing highlights, and shadows on Adobe Lightroom.
I think my photos are straight forward
to the audience, I think that they can understand that I am just showing that it’s
a photoshoot with a beautiful girl in a sunny summer day. To confuse or misguide
the audience I would have to do much more photoshop editing which I don’t know
how to use yet. They are not much different from the original, I haven’t change
anything besides playing with the temperature, that’s the main difference from
the original pictures. My photographs are only personal photographs and to be
used as a memory, my photographs can’t be used as press photography because I
am not recording or documenting any news, or currents events impacting the
history. My photographs are only for personal use and moments that are only interesting
only to the people being photographed.
My pictures
could be considered as an art, I composite, create, and edit, the main
difference between art and press photography is that press photography are
usually to document, record events to the newspapers or tv news.
Photography is an art, and I believe that photography can be modified pictures for a better purpose. Photography in general used to create moments and emotions when the pictures are being taken by the photographers they are trying to show whatever is on their mind as an expression of an art.
